Our soft sushi toys have been quite popular so I thought y’all might be interested in this craft Jayden did at his school recently. Paper sushi rolls.
Use black construction paper to make a cylinder for the outside of the roll and put it on a plate. Crumple up some tissue and glue it on the plate in the middle of the roll (gluing the tissue means that you don’t need to glue the roll part). Then take some markers and add some color to the tissue rice. Cut out your condiments and you’ve got a plate ready to serve.

Too funny… what’s the western equivalent, making hamburgers out of cardboard? *giggles* Jayden’s so cute, being so careful not to spill…

I am researching a Chinese stick figure puppet of Xi Wang Mu I acquired 30 years ago. I would appreciate any follow-ups to her being used in puppet shows, ancient or modern. Luanne
